Musical Quote of the Day
"I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's only me
And I walk alone"
-Green Day CD: American Idiot Track: 4 Title: Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
Not that I feel depressed or anything, I just love this song.

Christmas Eve. Enjoying the annual fight with my mother on the evening before Christ's birthday. Joy. So I'm taking refuge down here at the spiffy computer.
The past few days have been enjoyable. I have lots of money! YAYAYAY! That's a nice change, I can tell you. So today, bright and early, we went Christmas shopping. I got Dave something, stuff for my mother-of-step...sister, mother...and I know what I'm getting my dad, but I have to go back for it. And a tiny-wee something for myself. Hehehehe! I couldn't resist! It's a keychain of Tomoyo from Card Captor Sakura, and it's not Chibi. It's like a tiny doll. But I had to Krazee Gloo part of it when I got home. By the way, always Krazee Gloo with gloves on, because it was upsetting to see a piece of my skin still stuck to the tube.
So what else? Oh! YEAH! Have you ever had that thing, where there is a song that you hear on the radio or something and you absolutely adore it, but you can't remember who it's by, how it goes, or what it's called? Well, I had that, except I knew it was Green Day. So I went to Future Shop and did their nifty little song-checker thing, and I had a hunch it was on the American Idiot CD, and it was! Turned out, the song was "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". Sooooo good!
Speaking of sooooo good, Dave not only bought me flowers-no one has ever done that for me before-but he got me a present, which was completely unneccessary, as I already have everything I want for Christmas. Anyway, he told me not to open in until Christmas Day. So I didn't. But he didn't say I couldn't poke, prod, shake, or smell it. So for the past day and a half I've been trying to guess. I didn't shake it too hard, incase it's breakable. But tomorrow we don't get to open gifts until Meagan gets home from work at 3:00. Damnation! Oh well, it's not about the presents...but I really want to know what I got!!! Teheheee!
You know what's really creepy? Going into La Senza to purchase some panties and a cute nightshirt (currently wearing...so cayuuute!) there was a guy who was...physically dirty. Like he hadn't bathed on purpose. And ripped up painty jeans. Buying neglegie, consisting of about 3 cm square of pink silk, big fluffy pink pom-poms for the bra bit, and a fluffly pink thong. I couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry. I mean, he's probably a really nice guy, buying something fancy for his wife for Christmas...but still...dirty men in ladies underwear stores is a little creepy.
I ought to go. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Musical Quote of the Day
"Are we
We are
Are we
We are
Are we
We are the waiting"

Uber-excitement to the max! Gah, oh no! The sun is out! Go away sun, or we won't have a white Christmas!!! Go away!
I'm done. Sorry, really tired here. Anyway, I gotta go do some homework and engage in acts of personal hygeine.
No Musical Quote of the Day until I get some new CDs!

I feel so...Christmasey. It's been a pleasant, lazy day. I sat cross-legged by the Christmas tree, poking around the presents, doing the usual prodding and shaking, and I caught a glimpse of myself in a shiny ornament. My eyes were so full of wonder, like they used to be when I was a kid, and I haven't had such a feeling for a few years now. And then, later, as I worked virgourously on a puzzle, I glanced out the window and enthusiastically cried "It's snowing!" Yay. Because I really want a white Christmas this year. Really.
Well, now I have to go and watch TV and contemplate doing my english homework. Hmmmm....
Musical Quote of the Day
"It's all about soul
It's all about faith and deeper devotion
It's all about soul
'Cause under the love is a stronger emotion"

And, I'd just like to say that I am mad because my tablet is not working. *grumpy face*

Finally! I mean, I love partying and all that, but damn it's nice to be back home with my shower and my toothbrush.
So, the weekend. Off to a good start, met Dave -who nearly scared the life out of me when he just snuck up on me like that!- and went and bought Kathryn birthday cards. Then to the arcade! Hahaha...DDR hurts my feet, but I am happy because I love that game uber-much. And then we went to dinner at a really fancy restaurant. I felt kind of out of place in my Christmas Monkey Pom-pom socks, but the food was really nice, and I wanted to help pay but Dave insisted that I didn't, which makes me feel kinda bad. But then we went to Kensington and wandered for a bit, went to Cody and Marina's, which was delightfully fun. After a few hours, we ajourned to Kathryn's with Elissa. On the train there were some drunk guys, and we discussed games with them. So, upon arrival at Kathryn's, it became apparent to me that she lives practically across the street from Kari! I was considering going to say hello, but I figured she wasn't home yet. Kathryn Palooza was quite fun, with Mario Kart, and cake, and it was nice seeing some of the other grade twelves and the old art geeks I used to hang out with that I haven't seen in a year or more. So that was nice. And apart from being really cold, I had a blast. The big loud moments with the others, the quiet secret moments with Dave. They were special.
The next morning, after I woke up and heard stories of Dustin puking-I guess I slept right through it-I headed off to Elizabeth's house. Except I was late because I thought I left my purse at Kathryn's but it was in my bag the whole time. Anyway, we baked cookies and made lots of yummy desserts, and watched movies and fell asleep at about 3:00 am. My mother picked me up, we went grocery shopping, got our Christmas tree, and then I came home and slept for a while. We decorated the tree, and it is so cute. I named him Charlie, because I am unoriginal when it comes to naming the tree. It's the perfect shape, with all of our cute and shining ornaments, and all of the mysterious-well, most of them are-presents nestling under there. There are a lot, and I think they're really cool. But the best part is that I don't need a single one. I already have everything I want for Christmas. : )
Musical Quote of the Day
"Over and over
I'm filled with emotion
Your love it rushes through my veins
And I am filled
With the sweetest devotion
As I look into your perfect face"
-I don't remember the artist...CD: Shrek Soundtrack Track: 4 Title: It Is You I Have Loved
A tiny part of me that likes sappy pop songs likes that song.

I should be working on my fucking media project, but I have no desire to right now, as I just finished writing a really hard-not to mention God awful-essay which I probably failed. Although I said that about the last one and I got 90% on it! Hahaahahahah, I am the queen of HALF-ASSING IT! I rule. Major cool. That rhymed! Sorry. I'm really tired.
On the plus side, today I got Hello Kitty toys today from Kari for Christmas, thankyou darlin'! Hello Kitty and her boyfriend Danny! So cute! They're supposed to sing but Kari and I can't figure it out, but it doesn't matter because they are adorable. Yayayay! Woot.
Um...well, tonight I am going to my Dad's, but like a moron I forgot my purse and my keys and my cell phone and wallet were inside...of course, when my mother-of-step asked me if I had my cell, I stupidly said yes. I don't know why. So now I have to call her and tell her that the battery is dead or something. Or I'm screwed.
I cannot tell you, loyal reader, how happy I am that Friday is only two days away! But I have to remember to tell Dave that we end even earlier this week, and I have to call Schnickerfritz and tell her that I can't make it to the movie...hmm. Yeah. I wish this class was over. So I could go and deal with the stupid choral bitches and file and all that crazy crap. God, I'm starting to like choral and art less and less, one because of the teacher and the other because of the students. Woe is me. Oh, but you'll never guess what! I was actually on time for school today! Hooorah! And I will be again tomorrow because I have to leave early because I have forgotten aforementioned purse with keys inside. And I need to buy Samantha's present tomorrow at the latest. Woohooo...god, I have no money.
Well, it's crazy rants like this that make me wonder why anyone even likes me at all. I mean, this is pretty much just me blogging randomly on the school computer to kill some time. I hope I'm not like this in real life. I would be boring and annoying. Bleah!
You guys have no idea how much I'm looking forward to Friday. No idea. At all. So uber-excited! Myamyamya!
Okay, I really ought to go lest someone (i.e. Ms Stevenson, the students around me don't care what I'm doing) catches me and hurts me. Because then I'd cry, and I haven't cried in such a long time and I'm so liking it!
Agh, I pulled a muscle in my foot yesterday. Ouchies...how does someone even do that? I was just skipping and then *twangpain*. Yeah. Not cool. But you know what is cool? All of my friends, and Dave, and my parents, even though the latter drive me insane. Completely. But where did I put that $10.00 Mom gave me? Shit, I hope I didn't lose it. I think it's in my coat pocket, but we shall have to see, and by we, I mean me.
Tomorrow I am wearing my cozy penguin shirt and a plaid skirt with knee socks. Should be pretty cool. Get it? Penguin! Cool! Oh, it's lost on you.
Signing off, class is over, huzzah! No one caught me, I feel so badass!
Musical Quote of the Day
"What you feel is what you are
What you are is beautiful"
-GooGoo Dolls CD: Dizzy Up the Girl Track: 2 Title: Slide
I really need to get some new CDs, I'm running out of songs. Although I don't have any CDs here with me anyway.

And I use the term "morning" lightly. It's actually 3:00 in the afternoon, but I only finished breakfast about an hour ago.
My mother-of-step is getting on my nerves. She just is. Who cares if we have to have an artificial tree? The point is, she's acting like a martyr because she's "allowing" us to have a fake tree (we can't have real trees in our apartment building) and it's driving me nuts. All that humming and hawwing and whining and moaning! So what if it's not real, it's a tree, isn't it? Just because she doesn't like it, doesn't mean we shouldn't have one. Anyway, I'm ranting now, I'll stop. It's just...guys, this is one of the best Christmases I've ever had, where I really feel in the spirit, and I am trying really hard not to let anyone spoil it for me. Gah.
Well, time to go to Wal-Mart and get stuff. I want to go back to my mom's where I have MSN access....I need to have some conversation with people from the outside world...who are under 25.
Musical Quote of the Day (today's is a little different...)
"We're takin' a ride
To the other side
Of the moon
(Of the moon)
Take it from me
It's the best bit to see
Of the moon
(Of the moon)
Now the work is done
All the games are won
Now the race is run
I fear too soon"
-Jane Horrocks and some guy whose name I don't remember...it's not from a CD but it's from a Christmas movie called Robbie the Reindeer in Hooves of Fire and it's a very good movie and a very good song, entitled "Other Side of the Moon". Don't be fooled, though; it's an English movie and the stupid Americans stole it and just used different voices, like Britney Spears instead of Jane Horrocks. I hate Britney Spears! If you should see this Americanized version on the telly, change the channel immediately, alert me, and I shall soothe your wounds by letting you watch the original English story. Don't worry...shhhh...shhhh, it'll be okay, just relax and watch the funny Irish reindeer...Yeah, you heard me! Irish! Not from New York!!!
I'm terribly sorry, I got carried away.

Yeah, so the past few days I haven't blogged...or have I? Goodness, I don't even know. Anyway, recap.
So on Thursday night I went to the Zoolights with Dave, and they were so pretty! It was such a nice evening, including bubbletea, and my so-called punishment for knowing the sordid Red Lobster secret. And Dave! Yeah. My favourite was the mistletoe, and the fact that I saw one of the tigers, and the snow leopards, which I have only seen...lets see, three times now. And the dinosaur park!!! Who needs lights?! It was uber-cool.
Friday, Santa and "Mrs" Santa stopped by, that was fun too. I got a Hello Kitty stuffed animal from Kari. I knew she was my Secret Santa because otherwise she would have told me who she had! Hehehehehe. Anyway, it's very very cute and cuddly. And from Sammy I got a lava lamp and a llama toy. So very cayuuute! The lava lamp is so trippy. I stared at it for hours last night and completely lost track of time and slept in later than I intended this morning, which brings me to today's events.
Went to the choir thing, it was okay, except I was banished to the first floor and had to deal with bitchy/scary parents. Our sound was good, but again, discipline is lacking and I so want to hurt some people. Oh well. Then I came home and had a nap, and now I am waiting for dinner, which is Olympic Pizza! Yumme! I love their pizza. So delicious...and fattening...and delicious. *drool*
Musical Quote of the Day
"Baby's black balloon makes her fly
Almost fell into that hole in your life
You weren't thinking about tomorrow
You were the same as me
But on your knees..."

If you can get a hold of this song, listen to it, because it's beautiful. *thinks of...nevermind, it's a secret!*

The baby elephant at the zoo died. That makes me sad, because she was very cute, and endangered. *sigh* It will still be fun to go to Zoolights tomorrow. : )
Musical Quote of the Day
"She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child
But she's always a woman to me"

Maybe it's that I was wearing shoes with no traction today, but I slipped and landed on my ass in the snow. Which sucks. But it was a great day all the same.
Okay, going to go and memorize Romeo and Juliet. Stupid Rob, forgot his script. But then he reminded me of technology, hurrah.

A:
Your Beauty liesin Innocence. Pure, sweet and child-like. You most
likely look far younger thanyou are and your smile would brighten up anyone's
day. Seen as naive andsheltered, you can be ignorant at times, but for
the most part, it's simply yourreputation preceding you. You are most likely
rather aware of the realities oflife. You are extremely good natured and
trustworthy. By the same token, you area bit too trusting. Be careful, few are as honest
and open as you. You mightseem girlish still with a love of dresses, ponies,
and things most might deemyou "too old for". But this doesn't
bother you. You enjoy your youth and aregoing to make it last. After all you are only as
old as you feel.

I can't begin to tell you, loyal readers, how wonderful I feel.
Myayayayaya! So uber happy, you guys have no idea. I never thought something so great would happen, and talk about your Hallmark Card moments. The twinkling lights on the ice, in the trees, the churchbells, and the rest which is a secret! ; )
Anyway, I have to go and download some music now. And practically die from happiness!

You fall in love again"

Tralalalalalalalaaa!
Anyway, I am typing on the new computer, which is exceedingly cool with a tablet and a working printer and a flat screen that's so big that my cat, Big Momma, can sit behind it an not be seen. And she is huge.
So, Mick and Clare are getting married!!! I am so happy for them. They don't want a big fuss, so they're going to Vagas. Mick said they weren't going to get married by an Elvis impersonator or anything weird like that, but I'm not sure I believed him. But, nevertheless, they're getting married, and that is cool.
Drama at school is going well. Like a moron I forgot to bring the scripts, but we just worked on character analysis and antecedent action and shit like that. And I already know that I'm working with Matt for final project and we're doing a completely awesome script...the title of which escapes me for the time being. Something about rainbows...but it will be awesome!
Performance at Spruce Lodge was today, and to be frank, we didn't do so well. The seniors really liked it, and they were just so sweet, but I swear to God if stupid stupid people don't stop looking around the room or stand with their hands on their hips or whatever, I'm going to throw poo at them and shriek like a baboon. That'll teach 'em. We need work. But, on the plus side, whilst handing out candy-canes, I gave one to a priest, and said "Merry Christmas, Father." Now, thinking about it, I probably should have said "Reverend", but I'm no expert on religious titles. At least I didn't accidently call him the Pope or something. And you know, it's funny, because even though my religion falls somewhere between Jewish, mainstream, and agnostic, when I sang the Christmas carols today I really thought God was listening, and I felt empowered. Making those people smile was so good. Now, I'm not converting, or anything. Organized religion is a scary thing, one in which women tend to be oppressed, and so is having fun, and homosexualism. I mean, it seems like everything is a sin. But I do believe in God. Just not like most people do. God was in all of those smiles on the seniors faces. And thats enough worship for me. But enough philosophy for one day.
Oh, funny story! The other day in special projects, Ms Strome got the cleaner and a cloth and said "And now I'm going to go and clean that penis off that table." At first, I didn't know what the hell she was talking about, but I laughed hysterically. Then I realized it was that crude little drawing of a penis on a table, one which I thought was immature and ignored.
Well, I ought to go. I'm going skating tomorrow with Dave. Should be fun. Except if I fall on my ass, I'll cry. And laugh.
Musical Quote of the Day
"Gently rolling Father Time
Is calling to him now
And though he hears him,
He looks out to sea
Somewhere out there lie his dreams
A story with no ending
And 'til he finds his answers
He won't be going nowhere."
-Phil Collins (what a surprise) CD: Testify Track: 6 Title: It's not too late
God, I love PC!
And CSI Warrick. I want to lick him!

Not so good. Yeah. As far as props are concerned, anyway. Well, it doesn't really matter. Tomorrow is opening night, and things between everyone are testy. At least I think so. Now, I don't want anyone to get me wrong; I'm not playing the role of the martyr or anything, because I love working on "Greetings" so much, but there is a certain sense of being an unsung hero when one is a tech person. I stand there, waiting for scene changes to go and clean up ornaments, or hold open the swinging door for the actors as they exit, or lay the table, or make a phone ring, or give Randi the water, or fix Phil's chair, or set the clock, and then I wash the dishes (with help from Millie whilst Emily gives cues), and am back in time to see the end of the show. I enjoy my work, but when the audience applauds, I can't help but feel like none of that is for the props/costumes/tech crew. Oh well. Still, I'm having lots of fun! I guess I'm just tired, and a bit grumpy like everyone else. Sigh.
And now I must away with me to put the finishing touches on my ON cards and write my FUCKING essay. God I hate essays. So very very much.
No time for a Musical Quote of the Day, sorry.

Is "thusly" a word? If not, I totally claim rights to it this very instant!
Anyway, I hate Oekaki Central so much! Gararararrrrrr! Nevermind. I'm bitter. But the best part of it is, this is my blog so I can say what the fuck I want! Shit ass poo crap! Muahahahahha! No censorship here! Seriously, I feel so free here!
I'm done now. Where was I? Ummmm...okay, well I don't remember.
Topic change!
So, yeah, I've been drawing a lot lately. I mean, a lot. The proverbial fountain from which springs forth my inspiration is no longer clogged with the leaves of Artist's Block and I am free to frolic in it's sparkling dew. Okay, done with the metaphors. This is the list of images drawn by me lately and there level of completion.
Opening night cards-complete
Mermaid on Peach Street character (my own creation)-incomplete
Yukita and the Moon Beast (my own creation)-complete
Fantasy realm girls (my own creation)-incomplete
Caricopat and Tantomile (anime-style pics of my favourite characters from CATS Musical)-almost complete.
Christmas angel picture for choral teacher's X-mas card-incomplete
And, to end my evening in a style to which I have become accustomed, Grace has just knocked over my lucky bamboo, smashed the little vase it was in, and now there are rocks and water all over the floor. Time to tidy. And kill Grace. Snuh.

You know, one that's not creepy...how come only nerdy freaks like me?! Dammit all. Is it so much to ask to have someone, someone just for me? I guess so. Kari, my dear, you don't know how lucky you are.
Okay, if I were incredibly rich and eccentric, I'd buy that stupid sandwich with the supposed face of the Virgin Mary on it and eat the damn thing. It's so lame. I mean, I've seen smudges of cat shit that look more like the Holy Mother than that silly bit of burnt toast.
But I digress.
So, yeah, need to earn some money for holiday gift giving-ness, hurrah.
Musical Quote of the Day is not happening in this particular entry, because I can't be bothered to root through my CD collection like a pig searching for truffles.

The days are getting longer, inasmuch as I didn't get home until 7:00. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, and I need to finish my English homework. And I have to miss art tomorrow. Bad, because I want to work on my still life so I can get it done, but good, because the new art teacher is a Pterodactyl. I mean, she seems nice enough, but if you piss her off her jaw gets so tight you can hear bones crunching and her eyes get really wide, and she looks like she is about to swoop down and gorge you. And so many things piss her off. If you are ever in the art room, and you hear a "Rrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwkkk!!!", duck.
Well, I need to go and do some English homework...but first I'm gonna so something for choral...cool.
And now, a joke!
What does an elephant use for a tampon?
A sheep.
Musical Quote of the Day
"Saw the ghost of Elvis
On Union avenue
Followed him up to the gates of Graceland
And watched him walk through
Now security did not see him
They just hovered around his tomb
There's a pretty little thing
Waiting for the King
Down in the jungle room!"

Must obtain tablet.....must....kill....everyone...with...uber-goodness......*boom*
Sorry about that, my head just exploded.
Anyway, I just came out of a sugar coma due to a cinnamon bun. Nevermind. I was going to go to Sarah's Hugh Grant-a-thon (gorgeous in an obnoxious British way) but I thought it would be best to stay home in case there was some news on my grandma. She had a flu shot and it gave her a bad reaction, and she was in the hospital. I was quite worried, because there are complications from her diabetes. In any case, she is much better know and should be home in a couple of days. That is, in England. Where they, you know, live.
So, yeah, what else can I blather on about? Um...watched Shrek 2 about eighteen billion times and still love it to uber-death. Van Helsing is better than I thought it would be. Hugh Jackman...well, let's say I want to lick him. *drool* Not that I'm superficial or anything. At all.
Oh, and by the way, keep in mind that on Monday (tomorrow) I may be dead. I forgot to bring home my script for drama, and my sewing, which is due tomorrow. I suppose that I could always haul ass in order to do it. Gah, I should have just used a glue gun....myeargle.
Musical Quote of the Day - Is actually a whole song!
"The roof is leaking and the wind is howling
Kids are crying 'cos the sheets are so cold
I woke this morning found my hands were frozen
I've tried to fix the fire, but you know the damn thing's too old
It's been six months now, since we heard from our Mary
I wonder if she ever made the coast
She and her young man, they both moved out there
But I sure hope they write, just to let us know
And me, I'm getting stronger by the minute
My wife's expecting but I hope she can wait
'Cos this winter looks like it's gonna be another bad one
But Spring'll soon be here
Oh God I hope it's not late
Ma and Pa lived here, and theirs before them
Tried their hardest to make it a home
Seems so long now since they passed over
Hope my children'll try to make it their own
The roof is leaking and the wind is howling
Kids are crying, 'cos the sheets are so cold
I woke this morning found my hands were frozen
I've tried to fix the fire, but you know the damn thing's too old
And me, I'm getting stronger by the minute
My wife's expecting, but I hope she can wait
'Cos this winter looks like it's gonna be another bad one
But Spring'll soon be here
Oh God I hope it's not late"

That song is so poignant...I couldn't pick just one bit to write down. And yes, I know I've done a Musical Quote of the Day about this particular song before. Bite me.

Did I scare you?
I thought so.
Anyway, happy happy birthday to Mousey, who is turning five today! I wuvs my kitty!
Okay, so I had a little shin-dig on Friday, and it was fun, but I was sorry to Matt because he is allergic to cats and there wasn't really anything I could do, short of sterilizing the whole house. Sorry.
Yeah, so tonight I am handing out candy to all the sweet (Hah, pun!) little boys and ghouls who come to the door demanding free treats from strangers, bless their little hearts. Ah, to be young and fearless of razor blades in apples. Just kidding. I use arsenic.
Oh, and I have an announcement: I am officially on the prowl for a boyfriend! And I even have someone in mind! *blush*
Musical Quote of the Day
"It's Friday night
So creepy outside
There's thunder and there's lightning
There's nobody home
And I'm all alone
It's scary and it's frightening"
-Aqua CD: Aquarius Track: I can't remember... Title: Halloween
Friday, October 22, 2004
Just read that somewhere, and thought it was pretty funn-ay.
Well, there isn't really much left to say. I repeat, I'm extraordinarily busy as of late, and I have little time for piddling about on the internet.
Drama today was a complete nightmare. I felt so bad. Oh my God! GAHAHAHAHAH! Everytime I think about it I want to shrivel up and die. *cringe*
Anyway, I digress.
Musical Quote of the Day (It's baa-aack!)
"Are you alive?
Amigone
(Miracles gone wrong)
Is it too late to call and tell you to be strong?"
-Goo Goo Dolls CD: Dizzy up the Girl Track: 7 Title: Amigone

Describing the weather (which I think is beautiful) and myself. I am so grumpy these days. Luckily I have friends who put up with me. Sigh. Maybe it's because everywhere I look I see couples, people in love, and it just seems that everybody has somebody except me. Not that I'm ever dating in school again. The last thing I need is a whole bunch of shit going on, which I then complain about in here, which I understand is not very interesting. Dammit, I need a boyfriend! GAAAARARRARARAR!
Sorry about that, it's the raging hormones talking. Anyway, things, although extremely busy, are good. I suppose. I'm tired, what with rehearsals and stuff...and I need to remind myself to tell mom that I need to reschedule my dental surgery so that I will be able to sing at the Christmas concert. I would be miffed if I couldn't. Well, that is, I would be miffed once the drugs wore off, and from what I've been led to believe, that takes quite sometime. Wooohooo morphine.
Okay, that was seriously just me rambling. I promise in the next entry there will actually be some content. And I'll get the Musical Quote of the Day up and running too, but I can't be asked right now.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have Kraft Dinner to make. Cause I'm a loser that eats Kraft Dinner. Extra Creamy!
Thursday, October 14, 2004
Well, everyone, I am sorry about the absolutely wretched hole in time there...it's just things got really busy what with school and the play and all (I'm only props. Sigh). As of today, I've been 17 for a month. It's pretty cool. I had a Hello Kitty cake! Mmhmm, so that's about it. Yesterday, I was in such a hurry to get to school, I left the house in nothing but a towel and got changed in my sister's car-now the neighbours think I'm crazy. Yesterday, after rehearsal, I was walking at the train station and stepped in...you guessed it: vomit. Sticky, smelly, and it had carrots in it. Always with the carrots. Yeah, so today was inifinitely better, although I hurt my ankle a bit when I landed on it strangely after gracefully leaping a puddle, like a swan, and landing ever so daintily on my toes, which my ankle didn't like one bit and decided to freak out on me. Bitch. Anyway, yeah, so I'm afraid these new posts will be few and far between, because I have lots and lots of work to do, for school and for me. So. Yeah. Normal service has been resumed. Ya happy now?

Edmonton was fun. I loved getting caught up in the rich, chintzy, brightly lit world of the mall, with the rollercoaster and rides, and water slides that were fun and yet painful. I am also in love with Build-A-Bear, where I made two totally cute cuddly bears...although technically one is a marsupial. Hint: If you want to get me a b-day present, build me a bear, although not the caramel cub or the koala because I made those already.
I had "the Wizard" -you know, a cheap-o fortune thing, where you put in a dollar and press your corrosponding astrological sign and a randomly selected card appears- told my fortune, and said that someone of the opposite sex is thinking about me. They may avoid or ignore me, but only because of fear, or nerves, or rejection. I am kind of hoping that's true.
Anyway, Kari, you were right. No cavities!

Kari knows what I mean.
Okay, so after much hell and high-water, this whole Edmonton thing is coming together. Slightly. Anyway, the point is, I had to clean my evil closet so that I could go, and I found a shit-load of stuff I couldn't find/forgot I had. I found my denim news-boy cap, my blue hair elastics with the flowers, and much much more!
Tomorrow I am going to get a new bathing suit, because my one is...well...the rear is um...nevermind. Plus it gives me a terrible wedgie. I want a cute one! Like Madison! Hahahaha! The omen! Again, only Kari knows of what I speak.
I have other wonderfully happy news; for my birthday, I'm going to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Stage West! Wooooohoooooo! We managed to get tickets, and good seats, and the show is sold out now! My mom told me that in the mall, and I practically screamed with delight. Loudly.
Okay, and, Kari, my dear, I only have 55 characters. When I am finished, I will list them. I'm gonna go work on them now. Ta ta!

Let's see..tomorrow Kari is coming over, and neither my mom or my sister will be home, so we'll have to fend for ourselves as far as food is concerned. Damn.

Garrrrr!
Anyway, Rene is back, and I am so happy. I really want to get together with him, but my weekend is booked and no doubt he is tired. I have a camping trip this weekend, and beautiful trip to Edmonton is looming on the horizon. Seriously. I hate Edmonton, because it just seems kind of...unclean, but DAMN I like the mall. It has everything! It has a ROLLERCOASTER! And a POOL! With a slide called "Nessie"! Are we getting the connection here, people? *waves pinkie finger* And a Build-A-Bear kiosk! I know there is one in the Chinook mall, but I've never been to it. Plus there is the replica of the..Santa Maria, I believe? Anyway, that ship, and there are the submarines (our navy) and there used to be dolphins, before they realized "Hey, maybe the reasons the dolphins are sick, unhappy, and dying is because they live in a pool in a mall." And there's that whale statue! That you can go inside! And the ice rink! And all the shops! And the food court! And the ROLLERCOASTER! And those crazy trampoline things! And the rock climbing wall! AND THE ROLLERCOASTER!!!!
And my aunt lives there. With her dogs.

God decides to put a ditch in my paved road. Sometimes religious deities are such jerks.
Anyway, so apart from being extremely upset and worried, things are well...okay, there is nothing but fear. Dammit dammit dammit! God, why can't you leave me alone? I want to be worried about normal teenage things, like what I'm going to wear each day, how I will style my hair, the boy I have a crush on, getting good grades, my upcoming 17th birthday. Now I have to worry myself sick, lose sleep, and not eat anything. It's a good thing I came to Dad's today, because he made sure I had something half decent for dinner, even though I was nowhere near hungry.
And, to top it all off, I am not at all looking forward to my birthday. I don't want a party, presents or a cake. For many reasons.

Sunday, August 15, 2004
I suppose being the way I am shows that I am in tune with myself. Hooray for me.
Yes, I'd just like to take this time to explain something: Okay, guys? Are you all listening? Good. You all know I have a super strong, rather unfounded fear of the dark and ghosts. It's a fear none the less. So, when it's dark, don't tell me scary shit about ghosts. And if, I say "Let's talk about something else," then lets talk about something else, so I don't have to sit there with my fingers in my ears. And then, should you bring something up, as we sit there in the dark shortly after changing the topic, and I say "Whatever it is, don't say it," for the Holy love of God, don't. Say. It. And should you choose not to heed my warning, you should expect to be snapped at. I'm tired of laying in my bed at night thinking some ghoulish figure is looming in the dark hallway or outside my window. Please and thankyou.
Anyway, in other, happier news, Poe doesn't hate me anymore. Huzzah! And Kari has a totally cute stuffed panda that I tried to steal. Hmmph. Curse her and her ability to see. Awww...love...
Well, I don't really have anything else to talk about right now, but I'll probably be on later to blog about crazy random shit once more. Toodaloo!
The countdown to my birthday continueth: 30

Did I do this one already? I think I may have done. Oh well, I really like that movie. And I cried really hard at the sad bit last night. And then I started to laugh at my own stupidity. *sniff*

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. Although I am not particularily superstitious, just mind you don't walk under any ladders or break any mirrors. Don't be too worried about black cats, though. As a British person disguised as a Canadian one, I do not fear black cats, for in England, they are lucky. It is the white cats that are bad luck, because white is the colour of spirits and ghosts.
So everyone, please be careful. I don't want any of you getting hurt.

Who would have thunk it?
Anyway, went and saw the Village, and it's a good thing Dave was there, or I would have fled in terror. Crazy crazy crazy...and thankyou, Dave for not laughing as I buried my face in my hat. Dude. Joaquin Phoenix was...dude...
So today was a very good day. One of those days where everything ends well. I feel very good. Very good indeed.
Musical Quote of the Day
"Every rose has its thorn"
Okay, this song I have heard a lot, but I have no clue who it is by. If you know, please tell me. Something about every rose has its thorn...something something...just like very cowboy sings a sad song. Or whatever.

So, this is what I could gather from watching Neon Genesis Evangelion without seeing anything about it prior to last night.
Three teenagers, one boy, a hyper girl, and a mysterious bitchy type character pilot these big mechas called EVAS. They are battling "angels". So, it leaps around, with Ode to Joy playing in the background. A man and a woman make out. All of a sudden there is the mysterious bitchy girl in hospital and the guy saves her from an explosion. Then it jumps to about twelve years ago. Meanwhile, mechas are fighting what I reffered to as "squid rabbits". Gong! Japanese writing with no subtitles for parts of it. Hyper red head and old scientist guy are talking. Eighteen months ago, suddenly. Then it's back to the kids at school. Then the mysteriously bitchy girl is multiplied and blown to bits by a scientist. Then the same girl and the guy are on an escalator and she slaps him. Next scene, boy in hospital. Then two new people with infant child under a tree talking. Then a school bully beats up the boy who is covered for by red headed hyper girl. More squid rabbits. The main characters as children for a bit. Then the boy moving in with a hot chick. Then the boy accidentally putting his hand on mysterious bitchy girls naked boob. Leaps to a new scene wherein hyper girl is met by girl who boy has moved in with and says how her body has filled out. Then a completely new scene with new characters are battling new mechas. Flash of hyper girl lying in a hospital bed. Spastically, throughout this whole thing, are black scenes with japanese writing with subtitles going so fast I can't read them. Then they meet an angel guy with grey hair and red eyes, who I understand to be an angel
So basically, I didn't understand it at all. I want to see the series first, because then I think I might get it. Also, I know a little about the characters from what friends have told me. Man, that boy's dad is a prick! You'd have to see it to understand how incredibly crazy and non-sensical it is, though. Although, it had one marvelously redeeming feature: at one point, when the three teens are in a big empty room playing...uh...okay...the boy had a cello, and I think the two girls had violins...anyway, they started to play Canon is D major, also known as the Wedding March. It is one of my favourite classical songs. They played the intro and I asked Kari if she knew what song it was, and when she didn't, I "dooed" the rest of it for her, the part that everyone knows, and she agreed that it was a good song. If I ever choose to get married, I would like that to play at my wedding. But we'll have to see I am also partial to the Planets, by Holst. Jupiter is a good one!

Happy birthday Kari! Meat face!
Anyway, so the last couple of days have been pretty uneventful. Seriously. There was an issue today with an evil death cake but we dealt with it. We made cupcakes instead. Yumme! Considering that I am a horrible cook I think they went pretty well. We're eating them now.
Okay, everyone, so yeah...um...I have a pretty sensitive issue -which, apparently, is the word of the day- that only Kari and I know about. What are we going to do, Kari?
Kari: Leave me alone! I'm trying to sleep!
Yeah, speaking of sleep, it's craz-ay. Most girls who have sleepovers sit and eat snacks and watch movies. We had a nap. Yes. A nap.
Aaaaah! Explodie and Poopie was the scariest thing I have ever seen! AHHH!

"Happy Birthday!
You did not accomplish much
But you didn't die this year I guess that's good enough"

This takes fuku to a whole new level!
Seriously...when I first saw it, I nearly died. But how shall I describe it? Hmmm...well...it's kind of a turquoise plaid colour. It's a dress, and strapless, and it comes down to mid-thigh. At my hip level, there is a strip of black lace, and a fabric rose that is made of the same stuff as the dress on my left hip. The bottom is pleated. And it gives me a great hour-glass figure. Yes, it is very cool.
How awesome is that!? Completely!
Well, I already did the Musical Quote of the Day, but this next song is dedicated to Rene, who I miss terribly.
This Love, This Heart
by Phil Collins
This Love, this Heart
These arms to hold
So tight to you
I won't let go
I'll never hurt you
Believe me
My heart beats just for you
It only beats for you
I'll keep the fire alight for you
Can't think of nothing else
What can I do?
This lonely heart of mine
It only beats for you
It only beats for you
You bring me peace
You make me smile
You give me strength
And all the while
You ask for nothing
Only love
And my heart beats just for you
It only beats for you
I'd say all these things to you
If you were here
But that's not gonna be
'Cause you're not here at all
There's only me
But I won't stop trying
I won't give up
I'll wait for you
'Til you come back
It's all I can do
I'll be right here
I'm going nowhere without you
Give me the chance
Just make the call
Just say the words
I'm waiting for
Just let this heart of mine show you
It only beats for you
Yes it only beats for you
It only beats for you
This love, this heart
These arms
They're only for you
This love, this heart
These arms
They're only for you
They're only for you
