First Frost

Break out the scarves, hats, and woolly mittens, ladies and gentlemen! Last night was the first frost! And granted, now it's 20-something degrees, but my point is that September has arrived, and with it came the wonderful frost! It won't be long now until all the leaves are orange and gold and yellow, and there will be chilly nights and cups of hot chocolate and maybe...if I'm lucky....snow!
Also, I know I'm thinking super in advance, but now we're in the last half of the year, I'm getting excited for one of my favourite things! Once we get through November (I can't allow myself to get super Christmasy until December 1st...but I can get excited about it!) it will be time for me to buy Candy Cane Hot Chocolate from Second Cup! Man, no one makes a peppermint hot chocolate like they do! Eeeeeee!
Shut up, I'm super excited! In way advance! But in the mean time, let there be joy about the best month of the year being upon us! Yay September! Yay first frost!

Augh...Dear God...

So I go to bed last night, absolutely FREEZING! I had pyjamas, three blankets, and was in the fetal position to conserve heat energy. And yet I was still shivering. I felt like I was going to die. I didn't sleep well, but I did wake up at 7:30 when my various alarms went off. I stayed awake until 9:00, so I called Katia and told her I couldn't go in. She was fine with it (she's super nice). Then I called Kathy and asked her to take me to the doctor. So we went, sat forever waiting at the walk in clinic. Frick.
As it turns out, I just have the flu. We picked up some cold and flu caplets and I have tomorrow off anyway to get better. So know I'm cold, I ache all over from constant shivering, and I am trying to figure out where I got the flu from...somewhere in the mall?
