Welcome to Sunday morning.

And I use the term "morning" lightly. It's actually 3:00 in the afternoon, but I only finished breakfast about an hour ago.

My mother-of-step is getting on my nerves. She just is. Who cares if we have to have an artificial tree? The point is, she's acting like a martyr because she's "allowing" us to have a fake tree (we can't have real trees in our apartment building) and it's driving me nuts. All that humming and hawwing and whining and moaning! So what if it's not real, it's a tree, isn't it? Just because she doesn't like it, doesn't mean we shouldn't have one. Anyway, I'm ranting now, I'll stop. It's just...guys, this is one of the best Christmases I've ever had, where I really feel in the spirit, and I am trying really hard not to let anyone spoil it for me. Gah.

Well, time to go to Wal-Mart and get stuff. I want to go back to my mom's where I have MSN access....I need to have some conversation with people from the outside world...who are under 25.

Musical Quote of the Day (today's is a little different...)

"We're takin' a ride
To the other side
Of the moon
(Of the moon)

Take it from me
It's the best bit to see
Of the moon
(Of the moon)

Now the work is done
All the games are won
Now the race is run
I fear too soon"

-Jane Horrocks and some guy whose name I don't remember...it's not from a CD but it's from a Christmas movie called Robbie the Reindeer in Hooves of Fire and it's a very good movie and a very good song, entitled "Other Side of the Moon". Don't be fooled, though; it's an English movie and the stupid Americans stole it and just used different voices, like Britney Spears instead of Jane Horrocks. I hate Britney Spears! If you should see this Americanized version on the telly, change the channel immediately, alert me, and I shall soothe your wounds by letting you watch the original English story. Don't worry...shhhh...shhhh, it'll be okay, just relax and watch the funny Irish reindeer...Yeah, you heard me! Irish! Not from New York!!!

I'm terribly sorry, I got carried away.
