What to talk about? Today Jenni and I had a french-fry jam session to Bohemian Rhapsody today at lunch. That was good fun.
Spirited Away is mine. Metropolis is my favourite movie EVER, but Spirited Away is very close behind.
Really nice weather today. Sunny and warm, but it smelt like the rain, and the earth was alive. Kids playing, dogs barking, breeze blowing. Kinda makes me sad, because I know within a few weeks it will be so freaking hot that all those kids and dogs will lay in the scalding sun, begging for water, and there won't be a single breeze, but I'll enjoy it while I can.
Ghost Ship looked really stupid, and I only saw the first part. It starts off with a ocean liner in like...1959 or something, and all these people are slow dancing. There is this girl, who is maybe eleven, and she is dancing with the finely-dressed captain, maybe he's her grandfather, when this wire-which must have been crazy, because they don't do this for no reason-silently sweeps over the dance floor, just as silent, and slices everyone. The cinemetography was pretty good for a moment; all these people, holding each other in dance position, but with looks of horror on their faces. Then the torsos start slipping of the legs. One really disturbing shot was a woman in a white dress trying to pull her bottom half over to her. Anyway, here is my beef; the white dress woman got sliced at the waist, but another guy got sliced just under his chest, and ANOTHER guy, the old captain hugging the eleven year old girl, is sliced under his nose. How did that happen? Only one wire, at one level, whipped through the crowd. Anyway, the old captain falls forward, his upper head slides off. The girl-obviously too short to be hit by the wire, although it should have hit her in the chest or neck- steps back and screams. End scene one. So many flaws, so little time.
I promise to stop nit-picking movies.
I wanna rollerblade...but I'll land on my ass. Wheeee....
