It Begins...

The horrors of becoming a completely obsessed grad girl. It has already begun. When my sister graduated, all I heard for months was "grad dress" "date" "shoes" "nails" "hair" "party" and other such related words. After hearing them in succession several thousand times, I swore I would not become a screaming hysterical maniac about the whole grad thing. But I can't control it.
What I'm getting at is that today I tried on what I'm sure is to be the first of many grad dresses. It was beautiful. Except a little too big, but it was only a sample and it doesn't really matter. Anyway, it was lilac, and so princessy, and gorgeous, and very long so I had to stand on my toes so I wouldn't trip and rip the damn thing. I felt like a princess. Really. Like I should have been riding side saddle on a white horses with a bridle and reins and saddle made of flowers, with ribbons braided into its mane and tail. Yeah. I was overcome with how pretty I looked.
So, fellows, it hath beguneth. My apologies. Hahahahahaha! I love it, really.
And I also love my new shoes. They're plaid, and kitten heels, and strappy, and they also rock.
Gotta go watch the Oblongs, excuse me.

Sounds more like getting ready for a marriage. What are you graduating from? I feel that graduating from school is a momentous occation. However, I have never heard of someone getting a new dress, nails, etc. Are your parents very affluent?

Hehehe, yeah, it was pretty. Although, my parents are not exactly rich. Only last year did my mother, sister, and myself move out of an apartment and into our own house, and my dad and step mother live in an apartment. Ends are met, we aren't destitute, but we aren't "affluent" either. But grad is a huge occasion and my sister got the full sha-bang, so I do too! Yay. Except I'm not having my nails done. I'm gonna wear gloves!!!
