My Fabulous Drama Day!

Allow me to relay it to you, from start to finish, because it was a great day. On the whole.
It started with a phone call from Ellie (Thankyou so so so much, you guys!). My first wake up call. I chatted briefly with her, then slowly dragged myself out of my deliciously comfortable bed, fed Othello and Desdemona, then went to shower. I didn't really shower, so much as I turned on the water, got in, got wet, then left and got the phone, because it was Wake Up Call #2, from Matt. Yeah, so I got dressed and all that good stuff. And I wore a skirt, because it wasn't cold today, huzzah!
However, I thought my good day was abruptly coming to a halt. I was dashing for the 7:29 bus, and the bus driver saw me, saw me running and he kept driving, even though I was about three feet away from the bus stop. Jerk. So, I walked back to the house and asked my sister for a ride, but she wasn't leaving until 8:30, which is when I needed to be at school by. So, rather despondent, I went to catch the next bus, which I also had to make a run for, butI caught it. As we drove, I was trying to figure out any miraculous way I could get to school on time. I felt really bad. After Matt and Ellie both gave me wake up calls, how could I still be late? But, I managed to get to Whitehorn on time to catch the school service bus, and was a delightful twenty minutes early. For a change.
So then the drama 20-ness commenced. And the fire alarm went off, and we just kept going. The part of me that was not in character, about 10%, was divided into two sections. One was thinking "What do we do? Is Mr Jobb going to stop us?" and the other half was saying "Who pulled the fucking alarm? I'll kill them." But we kept going and we did very well and got 99%! I was so happy. I made Fluffy dance. Except now I have nothing to look forward to-schoolwise-except auditions and I am so nervous already it isn't even funny!!! Anyway, that's a story for another blog. My final mark for drama is 90%. Yayayayay! A considerable improvement from the 82% I scored last term. Go Kat.
So then I went to art for ten minutes to get my projects and talk to Ms Siemens briefly. My final mark in that course is 100%! Gah! I was so happy, again. So then I hightailed it outta there back down to the Pit. We went to Starbucks and I had a hot chocolate and we rode in Jaryd's pimpin' car. She shimmied on a guy who she thought was Stephen but was actually a complete stranger. It was the funniest thing ever. Ever.
After that amusing episode, it was lunch, but the whole day had just become one long drama class, pretty much. So then I had third period off, so I watched the tech theatre class perform "The Sandbox" and I was laughing so so so hard! It was so hilarious! With the beachboys/babes dancing around...oh dear, I gave myself a huge headache from laughing so hard. It was almost funnier than the Jaryd thing.
I elected not to go to my last English class, because there wouldn't have been a point. Instead, I watched the drama 10 performances, and the first one I saw, I can honestly say, was the best drama 10 performance I have ever seen. It was so intense, and well acted, and it had lots of swearing in it, and it was funny and scary, and it was just fantasmagorial. And I don't use that made-up word lightly. Then there was one more performance, and then Mr Jobb talked to them about the auditions and I was wriggling in my seat what for the butterflies in my stomach. Even talking about it is nerve-racking! Agh! Anyway, because each class was 90 minutes long, we had a lot of time to kill. I went and sat in the Pit with the assorted others, and Matt and Dan and Tristan were throwing these weird juggling balls around. They were very hard, and filled with rice, and the outside was made of...balloon or something. Anyway, Matt kept trying to throw them to me, but Tristan kept intercepting them with his freakishly long arms. I was pretending to get mad, and we were all having a laugh. Dan thought I was really mad because I couldn't catch the ball, so he called my name and hurled one of them with all his might at me. He called my name, and I turned to look at him just in time for the ball to hit me right between the eyes. It hurt my nose a lot. My hands instantly flew to my face as tears sprung to my eyes. Immediately Dan was at my side, appologizing profusely, hugging me, and asking if I was okay. "I think you broke my nose..." I said very quietly and shaky, and started to really cry. Dan felt bad and hugged me again. I wasn't pissed or anything, it was just an accident. After a moment, I wiped my face and regained my composure. I told him I wasn't crying because it hurt too badly, but I explained I just had my wisdom teeth removed a little over a week ago, and then I got hit in the nose with a ball and my face won't stop hurting, and it was just kinda ironic. My nose soon stopped hurting, and everything was back to normal. Except it didn't help my headache, so instead of going to the sewing bee thing for that rainbow pride thingy, I went home and had a nap.
So, on the whole, it was a wonderful day. If the worst thing that happened to me was a ball to the face, I consider that a minor hiccup. Guys. I love everything. Everything.

Musical Quote of the Day

"Get up, get on, get out about and shout it
Tell 'em all you're dressed and on your way
Oh, there's no doubt about it absolutely
This is your wake up call
You're gonna miss it all"

-Phil Collins CD: Testify Track: 1 Title: Wake Up Call
