Markdowns....OF DOOM!!!
So work was fine today...not busy at all. There was only one ear piercing, and thankfully I didn't have to do it. Amanda (unforetunately) had to cut down on my hours, so I only worked until 4:00 today and am working 5:00 till 9:00 tomorrow. But I did get a nice paycheque, and I get paid tomorrow from the Belcher, and Friday the 15th I get my first direct deposit paycheque from Claire's. Woohoo! I LOOOOVE having my own money. Also, Kari, we will discuss this either next week at choir, if not before, but you and I have to go and do "nothing" on my birthday...nope...not a thing...
See, I can have conspiracies, too!
Musical Quote of the Day
"I'm really close tonight
And I'm feeling like I'm moving inside her
Lying the dark
I think that I'm beginning to know her
Let it go
I'll be there when you call
And whenever I fall at your feet
You let your tears
Rain down on me
Whenever I touch
Your slow turning pain
You're hiding from me know
There's something in the way that you're talking
And the words don't sound right
But I hear them all moving inside you
Go
I'll be waiting when you call
Oh whenever I fall at your feet
You let your tears
Rain down on me
Whenever I touch
Your slow turning pain
The finger of blame has turned upon itself
And I'm more than willing to offer myself
Do you want my presence
Or need my help?
Who knows where that might lead?
I fall
Whenever I fall at your feet
You let your tears
Rain down on me
Whenever I fall
Whenever I fall"
-Jesse Cook Title: Fall at Your Feet
Awwwww...so sad! Yesterday we listened to Lite 96 on the store radio. We're not supposed to, but me and Veronica couldn't take any more teeny bopper music. And this song played, and we fawned over the gorgeous sound of Jesse Cook's voice. Also, I really don't like the music we have to listen to all the time. Stupid stupid songs! There are a few good ones ("A Thousand Miles" "Everywhere" and "Move Along" are examples) but there is so much Raven, Hilary Duff, Cheetah Girls, etc. that I just want to break the next teenage girl I see in half. But if that's the worst of it, then I can deal. But honestly, I am not joking, today there was a rap rendition of the delightful nursery rhyme "Whose Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" from "The Three Little Pigs". Not. Joking. It didn't sound like the original song, of course, but I'm thinking, what kind of shitty rap group are you to sing that kind of crap? Do they honestly think that's quality music? Apparently, Mother Goose is their homegirl.
